I started out taking photos in the local dance scene, from the tertiary institutes to dance schools and to actual dance showcases on the huge stage like The Big Groove and the nation wide dance phenomenon Super24.
Thru self discovery, I realized I love taking people in motion - when they are at their best or doing something they love. That burst of energy and passion deserves to be captured in time.
Sports Photography. The same joy can be found in shooting sports, the journey of getting to know the sport, the athletes and being in the moment to be able to capture them at their best is by itself rewarding. In 2013, I shot at the Short Track Speed Skating by the sides and I just couldn't stop there...
I've since then signed up as a Sports Photographer with SportSG, they have not only given me the opportunity to shoot at many sporting events but I've been so blessed to have known many renowned photographers both locally and overseas and they have taught me very valuable lessons of the trade. The highlights for the past few years must be that in 2015 and 2017, where I was part of the official media team of the Southeast Asian Games.
Among many other features on social media, my photos for the SEAGames 2017 were featured in the Straits Times and also printed out and put on display at the Sony Singapore's flagship store.
Do have a look at my past involvements.
I own the Nikon D500 and D800.
For lenses, I have a 14mm, more in the middle and all the way out to a 600mm.
If you need a photographer for any event - I’ll shoot it all.
